Though Elegant Tern would seem a likely candidate for this bird, it now seems that with various hybrid possibilities, ie,with Sandwich, Elegant and Lesser Crested Terns, that it may not be possible to name it with certainty without DNA evidence. Nevertheless, only the second for Kerry, after one at Dingle Harbour in October 2002 (which was named as an Elegant Tern).
